do you know were the trans convertr clutch solenoid is located it says here its a purple and tan/black wire but i cant find the solenoid

Convertor clutch only applies during steady cruise. It will not cause a "no gears" symptom.

Dude, its not a relay. The trans doesn't even have one. If I were you I would verify what trans you even have. Do you have the TV cable on the throttle body? If so, you have a 700r4. If not you an etrans.

You say it was sitting for a couple of years, the truck was sitting or the trans was sittting and you just put it in?

It may have gone bad or was bad when you got it.

Take it to a trans shop that does racing transmisions since you keep insisting it's something that doesnt seem possible.

The 700R4 is a purely mechanical unit. Basically speaking, the TV cable controls downshifts, the governor controls upshifts. Governor pressure exceeds TV pressure, you get an upshift. TV pressure exceeds governor pressure, you get a downshift. The shifter cable moves a spool valve giving you your different positions. FWIW what kind of fluid did you put in? Dexron II compatible fluid is the only kind that should be used, and many people say to avoid synthetic as well.

I used Dexron mexron 2 can it be cause by debris in the transmission if i turn off the truck for a minute it works again for a little bit. And i can here noise in the tourque convertr when the problem is happening then stops and i have no gears

Where did you find Dex 2? Thought that wasnt made any more and replaced with Merc Dex 3

What would be the symptoms of a failing converter because my truck is perfect until i hear the draining noise.

Converter and pump are the only two things that i can think of that would cause a no gear situation.
