Same can be said of the new SS vs the old LS1, it has 100+ hp and it runs the same ET's.

very true. one way to look at is the 4th gen the fastes bone stock recorded was 12.8 with a profesional driver and these have already been 12.8 with normal good drivers and is more common than the one freak. but they are freakin HEAVY!!! when the Z28 arrives with the ctsv motor hopefully itll shed some weight. It should destroy the shelby untill the shelby steps up since the ctsv runs low 12's.

There was a bone stock ( I guess, because it was quiet as hell) '10 SS at the track this past weekend what was running 13.7's. Does an SS come with a V6?

no its comes with a v8 with a little oveer 400hp.. the rs comes with the 300hp v6 i believe the RS runs low 14's.

Its tough to really compare a mustang and a camaro IMO if you think about it. Ford and GM are going in complete diff directions with each car. Small cub inch modular with a little forced induction vs larger cubic inch LS motors.

It would be neat to see if they had the same set up and then get a comparison but on the other hand I guess that's what makes everything interesting

The 03-04 cobras are the best car for the $$ if I had to pick. So easy to mod. I bought a Hypertech programmer, changed the blower pulley and bought a K&N filter and I would guess I got an extra 80-85 HP for $400 maybe?

You cant replace cubic inch though! My buddy Jimmy has an 08 ZO6 with lots of upgrades Its the fastest street car Ive ever been in: CLICKY

For the record, I am not Camera Guy or Guy driving truck LOL :rotf:

Sweet ride! I personally like the look of the pontiacs better that the camaros of those years.
