My buddy just got a brand new 09 Shelby GT500 (it was given to him by his grandparent). So he obviously thinks it is the fastet thing in the world. he pulls into my small little town and me and my other buddy go get the truck stock tune waller turbo and 105 he has watched some videos on youtube and has told me he doesnt think he is gunna have any problems.

pull up to the light and start to spool yanked him so hard out of the hole it was imbarassing. he did spin alot but we raced from a role and if mine shifted like it was suppose to we would have stayed nose to nose. I think my hole shot would keep me ahead of him all the way through the 1/4.

He played it off like it was no big deal but I know he was crying inside:lol:

Nice kill!,,I think if he had some M/T stickys,it would be hard to beat?? no?
Waller turbo is ?? Stock turbo w/larger compressor wheel?

And the 105 is,,,,,octane?

For a second I got it confused with a ford GT(super car)...about the only Ferd I would ever own.

FYI,a couple months ago when I raced in Fontana,I saw a couple SS new Camaros run high 13's to mid 14's,, so you guys w/stock to mildly modded Sy's dont be affraid of a stocker SS,unless they know how to drive & have sticky tires on them. just my:2cents:

Only thing anyone should ever be "afraid" of is his/her own truck.

Nice kill. I raced one from a roll with the 20 g a couple years ago and got annihilated. Thing was fast. Never did get to run from a light though. That was all I could think about for 2 or 3 days.

Congrats, Don't mess with one that's been modded. They ran in 10's in 3 months after release and 9's withing 6 months.

True it would be an awesome race 1/8th mile. Most guys who have them have the money to mod them. Dollar for Dollar, they are cheaper to race than a zo6.

Yeah they are bad rides. The 2010 is rated at 40hp more than the previous ones I believe, but on the dyno they are making about 70 more to the wheels so the new GT500s run much harder than the previous generation. There have also been some that have only done a blower swap and tune with no other bolt ons that have made almost 800 to the wheels. Definitely a worthy opponent.

A friend of mine has a Mudstain, don't know or much care what year it is. Looks really sharp, he keeps it immaculate. With a stock build, it spun the tires really bad from a dig. 1st and 2nd gears were worthless. So, what does he do? Instead of working on the suspension to get some traction, he adds a procharger; which makes it spin the tires even more. Now 3rd gear is even worthless. He took it to the track last weekend and ran a best of 13.85 @ 110. He had a 2.2 60'. I would guess from a 60-70 roll, that thing plugs like there is no tomorrow. :rant:

I wasn't trying to hijack this thread, just relate how mudstain owners act.

EXACTLY. a 2010 GT 500 beats a 18yr old v6 pick up truck on the top? but gets railed from a dig? :rotf::rotf::rotf:thats something for a mustang owner to be proud of:rotf::rotf:
