I don't think they look bad. Not too flashy but still updated compared to our stock gauges.

I've got an email into him to see how and where he got the 300zx faces made. Waiting to hear back.

The thing I really like is that they are black faced. No offense to anyone, but I have never been a fan of white faced gauges.

Plus you can get them in white illumination, not just the neon blue/green like the Speedhuts. No need for LED conversion backlight.

Might need a set of SyTy faces to send in as templates if I do hear back. Anyone have a set?

I'm liking the look of those. Looks like an LED conversion, but also with an updated look to the gauges. If it comes through, I could go for a set of those for my Ty.:tup:

So with the help of my sister, who is way better with photoshop than I am, we started on an initial set of gauges.

This first set is a stock style based on the SpeedHut gauges with a few differences thrown in. I really liked the look of the SpeedHut tach, but they didn't carry the same theme into the Speedo and the quad gauge looked inconsistent.

These images are rough copies that still need edges cleaned up and detail finalized, but what do you think?

Once we get the design finalized, my intent is to have them made and bonded to a white EL panel for background illumination.

I'm also working on getting a set mocked up using the Zthirtytwo theme. Hopefully I can have those images by the end of the week.

Anyway. . thoughts?

I'm liking how those look. I kinda like the second tach a little better than the first. Gonna have to keep checking in to see if these become available. :tup:

Speedhut are also carrying black faces but not only white letters but also no multiple colors (see the boost gauges), I would also subscribe if they start the production.

I also made gauge to order km/h version, if anyone want the drawing file in ai format (illustrator), pls let me know.*

If these become a reality I want a set. One question? Could you do one with a boost gauge delete? No since in having a non functioning gauge with the 3 bar map and all.

I've got another guy working on mixing the 300zx gauges and ours and I'm hoping to see those by the end of the week.
I have the guy who designed the 300zx gauges ready to come up with a set if he can get a cluster to work from (which means pulling mine) and I have 2 different places ready to produce the gauges once they have a finalized set of images to work from.

Plus I still have no idea how much this is going to cost. The EL backing vs LED replacement bulbs still needs to be price compared - I'd prefer the EL, but we'll see about the $$.

There's lots to sort out at this point, so I'll keep this post updated as it progresses.

So my guy doing the 300ZX/SyTy gauges got back to me WAY sooner than I was expecting and I have to say, I LOVE the way these look.

I had him do a regular set + an extra 'Boost Delete' tach image.

I think these look awesome, let me know your thoughts:

I like those. As others have said, updated, but not too blingy. I'm not sure I'd be willing to actually spend money on them right now, but they do look good.

One minor issue - change "RPMX 1000" to "RPM X1000". It's #x1000 RPMs, not 1000 RPMXs. Possibly even go with "RPM x1000" to make the X look more like just a multiplier and less like a regular letter. Or just get rid of the "X1000" completely - I'm hoping that most people driving a SyTy would know that it's 4,500 RPMs, not 4.5 RPMs.

Damn that boost delete looks good. I am crossing my fingers and hoping for a good price cause I want these bad!

I tried it without the x1000 and it looks a little bare.

I like that. I agree with Invisibill about the RPM thing. I missed that in the earlier posts. I'm hoping for a good price on these because I'm liking the look of these more and more. I did the LED bulbs in my dash, but I think these will look even better than the LED bulbs. :tup:
