I asked Jwaller and he said that he would look into it but he never got back. He did say that if he could it would be a 6 week lead time. I bet if we got 5 - 10 people together he would move forward, I'm sure it's just too much of a hassle just for one.

Spoke to Waller. He's checking with his supplier to see if the cores are still available....gonna LMK today. Should also know a price then too. Supplier is needing a minimum of 10 orders to do the GP, but all that hinges on core availability and price.

I'll update as I know more.

Re: WTB: ATR upper intercooler

Okay...an update. This isn't dead, but it's circling the drain. John spoke with his supplier (who happens to be the only guy that can still make these....he has a set of molds) and the price on cores has tripled since he last did a run of these. Long story short - $1500 each and the core supplier wants a minimum order of 40 or more.

So, John asked him about another source...potentially Chinese. The supplier has no desire to use the Chinese cores since he must wait to pressure test them once they are assembled....at which time, you have a pile of junk that is unusable if it does leak. But it's not all bad. The supplier is looking into an alternate source and a few other options and is gonna get back with John soon. So, don't give up hope yet, but there's no need to break out the wallets just yet.

To be continued....

A bigass aux IC rad with a stupid 5gpm pump will keep a stock upper IC cool in summer frozen in winter.

For $1500 I'd want like $1300 change cause I'm not ****ing stupid.

Re: WTB: ATR upper intercooler

Get a bigass motorhome oil cooler.

Hook it up to a 5gpm pump running through upper IC.
Aboot $360 if you are a tard. $200 with sense. $1500 is what? 5x dumber than retarded?

Re: WTB: ATR upper intercooler

i am out for 1500,

Truer words have not been spoken. Just to clarify, John never considered doing a GP for $1500. That is what the units would've costed from this one core source. Hence, why he asked for the guy to locate another source. $1500 is ridiculous.....the supplier knows that.....John knows that.....we all know that.
