Check your fluid level. If it is low you may have overheated the tranny and made some varnish or sludge that has stuck some valves.
Try unhooking the little plastic clip off of the throttle arm on the throttle body that goes to the TV cable. Pull on the cable a little and see if it has some spring tension on it. If it doesn't, the cable is broken or the the little arm that holds the cable to the line rise arm in the valve body is broken. You can get to that just by taking off the pan and removing the two bolts that hold it on.
If this is OK then it is probably in the valvebody itself. You must remove the whole valve body to get to the problem. I had this exact same problem after my rebuild. The TV valve was sticking severely on mine. You must pull the valve body to get to it. You then have to remove that son of a bitch roll pin to get it out. It should move FREELY in the bore. If it doesn't fall back and forth when the valve body is tilted, it is stuck and you'll have to spray some carb cleaner in it and rap on each side of the valve body with a plastic screwdriver handle until it will fall out of the bore on some towels you have under the bore opening to break it's fall. Clean it with carb cleaner and use some scotchbrite on it until it moves freely. There is a little spring that you can get that guys call a kicker spring. If you get it, give me a shout and I'll tell you how to put it in.
While you have the valve body out, take it apart and clean everything. It will save you a lot of headache. It takes me about 2 hours to pull it all apart, clean and check and then reassemble. Just be careful not to damage your gaskets or loose any of the three checkballs when you remove it.
Put in new fluid, never reuse fluid no matter how new it is, and a bottle of lubeguard. Let me know if you want any of this stuff and I'll see if I can get it for you.
Don't use latex gloves while you are doing this. The latex will come apart due to the carb cleaner and bits of it will get stuck in the valve body. Just clean your hands thoroughly when you are done so your nails don't crack and your cuticles peel back
