won't go into gear

Just got engine started last night, i was pretty excited,but now i can't get this truck to go into gear. I was almost positive i had seated the tc right, i put in almost a quart of fluid, and put it onto the trans. had to spin it a couple times to get it on and not be flush with bellhousing. but now that this thing runs, i can't get the truck to go into gear. if i put it in drive or anything, theres now rpm drop, no grab, no nothing. Any ideas? Is this a symptom of a crushed pump?

are you sure you have enough fliud in the tranny? i'm pretty sure the convertor holds more than a quart

Did you seat the TC correctly. Left right, right left(3 clicks). Let the tranny warm up to operating temp to check the fluid. Are you running type-f fluid or dexron 3?

nevermind, i didnt fill enough fluid. damn this thing feels good

Whole thing is hydraulic. Fill it up, sucks it down, shift into each gear, sucks it down. Let it shift into 2nd and 3rd, pull over. Top it off. Let it shift into 4th, pull over check it. Run it for a while. Check it while running before your turn it off after you get home.
