was adjusting my WG rod and the nut for some damn reason stripped or should i say one of the sides round off thus making it impossible to get a wrench on there and loosen it so i can adjust...any suggestions on this one? If i do get it loose, will the rotating end of the rod come off so i can put a new nut on there? I used a 10mm wrench is that the wrong size...Damn thing has always worked with that size then suddenly it round itself off, i'm pissed. What do i do on this? Am I screwed?

Thanks, I need help!!!

see if you can take the rod end off this may release some tension on the nut and help you to get it off. if so you can put it in a vise and twist it off and then just replace the nut.

Mine started to round like that. I took off the end and then slid a ratchet box wrench over it while I held the rod on the flat spot with vice grips. Once it broke loose it turned easy. Lots of PB Blaster.

I'd try one of those craftsman wrennch sockets.. You know.. the type that is a wrench on the open end but on the other closed circular end ahs a rotating ratchet inside the end of the wrench.. These types fit in small places with not much room..
should be able to fit over & turn the nut...

It sounds pretty bad. You can't even get the end off? When in doubt, Vise Grips as a last resort.

well the nut is what holds the end tight...thus because i can't turn it loose, i can't get the end off...Vice Grips way to big for such a small area...not sure what to do???

pliers, probably wouldn't work...but vise grips would if it is a small. I have vise grips, but its a big pair, no room for those babys! Small pair, ya would work good probably!
