W2A - Part 3

Well I finally managed to find the time to finish my IC piping.

It worked out well.. I was able to make the entire pipe with one piece.. no clamped joints means no place to blow off clamps... just a 45 at the IC and a hump hose at the TB. The nice 4"/3" adapter I got would not work as the flanges were not long enough.. I will see if they can make one with longer flanges on it.

Here are the pics.. you comment are of course welcome.

FYI, that rubber hump hose you have isn't made for pressurized conditions and may cause problems.

Tony had one on his truck, I'm trying to recall if he was still using that hose. Ya-hey-dere Canada boy??

If it works, more power to you, I'm all for DIY projects :)
If not, you could probably get this piece from Caleb to weld up to it

I bought that hump hose from Turbonetics maybe 5 years ago.. I used it on my supercharged Corvette for more than a year.. just something I pulled out of the coupler bin for fitting... I will keep an eye on it though.

I am thinking I will end up making an aluminum one myself.. those are nice though... any idea how much they are?

Yeah,

i tried a non reinforced "hump" hose at first. It worked okay, but we were watching it one day while I built some boost against the convertor and it grew aboot 20 sizes  . That just didn't seem like a happy thing.

Ordered a 3-4" reinforced adapter from turbonetics, mucho better. It ended up looking way better too.

Well.. you know that is the first time I have had a chance to see under the hood on your truck.. that is an odd coincidence that your piping runs the same place mine does...

Does that mean my truck will run in the tens too...... YEEEEEEEEEHAAAA

I will call my source and see what they can do for me too.. the other one I have looks alot better... just did not work... :(

Cast piece - I believe McCoy has sold a few of them, give him a buzz. I wanna say $70-100. Cool cuz you can use the same hose as a stocker for the connection to the throttle body.

You could contact Caleb direct through the board as well - he usually types all in caps... here ya go http://www.syty.net/phpBB2/profile.php?mode=viewprofile&u=960

He could do up a bracket & all to bolt up to the throttle body as well I'm sure, since he has to do that for all the intercoolers he's making.
