valve sizes

I have a set of L35 heads lying around that I will eventually get cleaned up, install new parts on, etc. Now the question is whether there is a significant benefit to going to 2.02/1.60's on the valves?

If the benefits are marginal I don't see the need to pay for any additional machine work to get them to fit in the stock valve seats. Don't suppose anybody has flow numbers with only the valve sizes changed?

2.02's and 1.60's are worth about 10-15 cfm's on L35's and possibly more depending on how much you spend on the valve.....swirl polish, backcut, undercut stem.....and so on...it's worth it in my mind. valves and a
vj are not that much..

Keep in mind some guys are using 2.05, 2.08 & 2.1 valves also.

yeah..I use 2.05 in my vortec heads...but 2.05's didnt seem to help the L35's any....
