When I hit the gas, I can feel the turbo spool up and an increase in power but I also head a gust of air coming from behind the dash, like through the windshield defroster vents. There is definitely power loss. I have an aftermarket boost gauge but it is connected to the vacuum line the connects to the canister and I am reading hardly any boost. It is a dual Vac/Boost gauge and it goes from 30 to 0 VAC to 5 psi of boost at the most.
Any ideas where the leak may be coming from? I know about the heater control hiss but this is louder and only when the turbo begins to spool up and coming from firewall.
Can someone point me into the right direct or give some advice?
