typhoon rearend dimensions

i have a friend that lives in warsaw poland. he wants to upgrade the rearend on his typhoon. is the ty rear the same as a rear wheel drive jimmy or blazer? i'm told that the 4 wheel drive rearend is different and i'm not sure which one they used in the ty. the shipping on the rear is so expensive to go to poland i want to make absolutely sure i order him the right one, and believe it or not, moser says they don't know... i know if you blow the rear in a sy that you can just replace it with a posi unit out of a s10. i didn't know the 4 wheel drive unit is a different size. also, is the gear ratio on a ty the same as a sy. want to make sure on this too.

i appreciate some help on this guys so i don't screw up and order him the wrong one.

2 wheel drive truck rears are narrower. all Sy's and TY's came with 3.42's

The 4X4 rear is the same width. The only difference is the housing ends by year.
