Ty not running...

Out of nowhere the ty did not want to start. It turns over, it has fuel, it has spark, it will only start if i use starting fluid. After starting it with starter fluid it stays running on its own... Well it did for a couple of minutes then it stalled. After it stalled it would start on its own but die every time I turned the radiator fans on (theyre on a switch). It started twice and died both times after turning the fans on, the third time it would just turn over. I just killed the battery I replaced the fuel pump relay, and nothing changed. Any ideas?

Weak fuel pump?

Or perhaps a weak alternator.

Tach jump when you crank it? If not,it's a dead distributor module.

I would check the grounds on the fans before replacing any parts. My :2cents:

Tach jump when you crank it? If not,it's a dead distributor module.

So... I decided to take the truck around town for a little while tonight, when I got it started and it was running "okay". After driving around for a little while most of the problems went away.:dunno: It idles musch better, starts up fine, doesnt stall when you put it in gear, doesnt stall at all. So I dont know what the hell was wrong with the truck, but im gonna leave thing be for now. Thanks for the help anyhow guys!:tup:

I got a bad 1/2 tank of gas from a Speedway gas station once--did the same thing. I filled it the rest of the way at a Shell--ran just OK until empty....then next full tank, it was like all better.

Never went to a Speedway again....

Now only if you could get your Typhoon to put itself on jackstands and change its own oil, you would be set!
