TV cable Q

went racing 2 weakends ago and my truck would not shift in the1/4 till i let off the gas so one of the guys said we need to adjust your TV cable so we did it worked (in the 1/4) and now(on the street) my truck wont shift from 1st to 2nd till 30 mph it is very violent and it is starting to piss me off so do I loosen or tighten the TV cable to fix this problem...

adjust your TV cable the right way and fix what it wrong with your transmission. the TV cable IS NOT how you adjust your shift points. push the inner shieth of the cable all the way to the drivers side and then open the throttle with your hand all the way open(WOT). this will ratchet the cable adjuster to the correct location. also check your adjuster to be sure it's not slipping.

im glad you replied to this post remember I bought a prop shaft safty loop from yor when I got my gilbert the sound that I thought was my trans is the loop hitting the prop shaft does the loop sit on the X member stright because mine is cocked sideways so I think it got hit with something or was not tighten enough I had my trans guy put it on when he did the shaft.. so im guessing that it needs to be stright with the X member right...

it's not really important how it sits. you just dont it rubbing on the propshaft.
