Tunerpro information

Dazed and Confused
I use tunerpro and it works, but I do find it kind of confusing. I was wondering if someone could explain what xdf, adx, xdl and bin mean in plain english? I think I have figured out adx is the display layout. xdl is your recordings, bin is the perimeters of the tuning in the chip, What do the adx and xdf control. I have a hand held and all I have ever needed to do with the various chips in my truck or any vehicle for that matter is enter the year and answer a couple questions and it reads and records live data. I use a turbotweak chip so I am not actually modifying anything with tunerpro so do I still need to enter all the files? Another annoying thing I have is when I tell it to connect in tunerpro it takes a while to "lock on" . All the gauges jump around for a minute then it locks in and works. How do I fix that? Thanks

Re: Tunerpro information

BIN
The actual code and information on the chip.
ADS
Translator to laptop on what words the ECM is speaking (english, spanish, canadian, etc.)
XDF
Road Map to where info is on the chip, and how to display numbers so us dumb humans can understand it.

Link to good powerpoint presentation on Code59 tuning if you haven't already seen this:

Re: Tunerpro information

Also, I use Datamaster with my turbotweak chip on the TY. I think it is much simpler and easier to understand than TunerPro. I have used both in the past. You don't need all the capabilities of TunerPro to just monitor and make simple tune changes on the turbotweak chip.
