Hi List!

So what is the difference between there forged piston's anyway???

I just got some J$E's cuz TRW doesn't have'em in .040.

I don know this first hand but have been told by a few engine builders that the TRWs are heavier in weight. Its supposedly the wrist pins that make the TRWs heavy.

Ive used both brands and can tell you what Ive found. The J&Es seem to tolerate detonation a little better than the TRWs. Ran both types in the same engine(at diff times) with the same, unknown at the time, prob and the J&Es didnt have a mark on em after tear down. Where as the TRWs skirts were scuffed pretty bad and the wrist pin holes were galled. Got 5 TRW paper weights in a box in the garage right now to prove it. The J&Es were put back in the eng with fresh rings and are still running/being flogged to this day with no prob.

The J&Es cost more but seem to be made outta better/higher quallity stuff. Lotsa ppl (including myself) have ran TRWs with no probs though. If it was my money then Id spend the bucks on J&Es. If you are trying to save a few bucks then TRWs should be fine in most cases.

Just my .02 worth (thats about all its worth)

How about the Kenne Bell pistons, then?

My money is on the thinking they are TRWs or TRW "blanks" that have a KB part# on em.. Im just guessing though.
