DON'T MAKE ME SLAP YOU.
 ok here it is if i drive my truck just tooling aroung it shifts nice and firm you know its shifting.. but if I launch it or stab it from a stop it wont shift out of 1st untill I let off the gas.
And how iI know it aint shifting as it holds in 1st so long it pops and bounces off the rev. limiter and right when I get out of it it shifts.. HELP its been in the trans shop a few times for adjustments do I need a net tv cable or is it too much line pressure..

You can try my old TV cable I have left over from my 80e conversion to see if that fixes it. I know we adjusted yours several times at turbo Thunder IV and it still was doing it. I think it might be stretched a little. Just my :2cents:

Before you change out the cable, try this once:

While the truck is cold, before you start it up, stomp down on the accelerator peddle hard 10 times, just short of once a second. Then start the truck and see if that doesn't fix it. What this is supposed to do is to dislodge any sediment that sometimes builds up in the shift / down shift valve. Of course, this is a temporary fix.

Good luck.

Re: transmission prob. fix

heres one to think about, my tranny does"nt have rev and most of the time no neutral or park, until adam played with my cable it shifted fine now it shifts after 4 grand until it warms up, u think this could be an internal fix or total rebuild. sorry didnt want to run on your thread.

TV modulated upshift valve or TV valve up in the valvebody (2nd one). That'll do it.
