I put a bravada case in my syclone but couldn't use the stock driveshaft. I used the one out of the bravada as temporay but it needs to be about 1 inch or so longer. The stock syclone drive shaft slip yoke will not fit the bravada or typhoon case as far as i know. The output shaft on the typhhon / brava is more spline 31/32 or something. I think the syclone one is 28.

Re: Transfer case

You will just have to have the transfer case side yoke swapped out on your drive shaft to a 31 spline. Any drive shaft shop can do that pretty easy.

Re: Transfer case

or have the syclone rear driveshaft and cut and weld the splanes (or whatever the name is)

Re: Transfer case

Early astro 91 and older are the same as syclone - 93 and newer are the same as typhoon

I have seen a mismash in late 91 and early 92

Re: Transfer case

Anyone have any idea whats i should expect to be charged to rebuild my transfer case? It seized up on me last night (i think).....truck made a horrible sound then came to a halt when I slowed down. I just got my rear diff rebuilt this week....rear wheels move fine but front wheels seized.

Thanks!

92TYPHOON937,

You were correct, it was my front diff that siezed up. Its never a dull moment with these trucks.
