Just got my parts(viscous, chain and bearings) 412.00 from WIT(what ever it takes). my buddy orders a ton of gn tranny stuff from them and had me call about the transfer case.
I was glad to find this because all the other parts I found were just as much as a rebuilt case. There number is 1-800-940-0197.

is that for new parts? wow

Re: Transfer case rebuild

That's probably a good used viscous. Viscous clutch assemblies are $600 alone. The other stuff is all new though I sure.

Brand new!!! I couldn't believe it untill it was in my hands. 600.00 bucks is the prices I found untill I called WIT.

That's outstanding!
When you tear yours down, verify it's the right one and let us know. Please put up a parts list and prices too. That's good stuff.

Re: Transfer case rebuild

I just recently started getting the "hunting" and crap when turning sharply forward or reverse so I'm assuming that the viscous us officially shite. I'd really like to rebuild my own, the whole learning aspect if it of course. Man if this is legit its too cheap to turn down.

Did we ever determine if this was indeed legitimately correct stuff with a brand new viscous coupling?

Re: Transfer case rebuild

Yes those parts are the right ones, but I found more things wrong when I tore it down, so I am waiting on other parts. The Planetary was torn up in mine as well, and it was only 115 from wit. so much for an easy quick fix for me.
