trans slipping

anybody have the trans slip when its in park (its clicked into park but it still rolls)? the parking pawl clicks like its trying to engage but it dosent. help!

This sounds like your shift cable might be on its way out....i'm going to guess at what i think might be going on here...first, the boot at the lower end of the cable gets torn....then the weather gets in there....then the cable gets tight as hell, bending the lower shifter cable bracket when you shift....then you straighten the bracket and it's good for about a week, tops...next thing that might happen is either the cable seperates itself from one of the shiny, crimped on "ends" or the cable breaks....if yours is tight to shift, i'd start looking for a new cable....makes a huge difference....

any suggestions on who to buy a cable from or some parts #'s? im having the same problem, the boot ripped from the bottom. thank in advance
