trans problem

My trans feels like the torque converter is permantly lock up. When I drive it it feels fine until I am in od going down hill. When Iam going down hill and let off the gas at like 55 it will slow down just as if the tcc was locked up. I know some thing is wrong because before if I go down a hill the speed usually increases. I pretty sure its not the torque converter. Does anyone know what it could be. I do not have a tcc lock up switch. I use and tried the paperclip and it slows down even faster

if you locked it with a clip and it makes it worse then it's not your problem. the TC normally unlocks in coast mode to conserve fuel by reducing the rpm's. sounds like you have a brake dragging or some other problem. have you smelled the tran fluid? checked anything?

Yes it will go into overdrive

I am not talking about the transmission lever, but is the tranny going into OD. A stock tranny goes into OD at ~45mph, you should feel it slightly and see the rpm's drop.

yeah it goes in overdrive, I suspect it might be the brakes now
