I'm going to change my tranny fluid tomorrow, any suggestions. Typhoon is all stock.

Regular old Dextron. Should need around 5 quarts if you drop the pan if i remember correctly.

Don't forget to add Lubeguard for a little extra protection.

My truck is just about all stock as well. I just did a tranny fluid change and at the same time i installed a tranny cooler which i was told is a top priority thing to do. I used amsoil which i just have great experience with. I purchased the tranny filter from sumit racing. :tup:

John Deere hyguard is the only tranny fluid I will ever use and its only 2.00 a quart!

I also use it in my transfer case,the flash point is almost 150 degs higher that syn trans fluid........and its made for sustained heat being that its hydraulic fluid. The Deere also makes a bad ass water wetter that is only 3.00 a bottle!

I am going to use it in my stock truck also.

Where is a good place to buy trans fluid in bulk?

The most you can buy is by the gallon here and it usually the store brand (eg autozone pepboys) in which case I do not trust for quality.

Can't find the right Lube guard either. :tdown:

Anyone aware of discount web sites??

I did a Royal Purple oil exchange fluids recently
suppose to be one off the best but just don't know yet ?

but you can use any Agriculture oil like that. for example Case IH Hydrogear

2 Quarts Type F, 1 Bottle Lube Guard, top off with Dex III.... all conventional type fluids, :tdown: synthetics!

I ran ford fluid in the stocker and never had any problems even with the 52 turbo build,I dont mess with any of those aditives etc in the trans.No sure if there is proof they help or hurt....
