Trans. cooler lines

Anyone have an idea if soft copper tubing will be good or not instead of rubber hose. Just a thought. Putting aux. cooler in and thought it might be better. I have a flaring tool and 5/16 and 3/8 flare fittings to go from the original lines to 6an on cooler. Thanks... Jim

Re: Trans. cooler lines

they'll be good though prob take a while to make em..

where you route them they may also pick up some turbo heat and warm up back to the trans. prob not by much.

take pics :)

I used the factory hardlines and did not use any rubber hose. I mounted the tranny cooler below the radiator. I bought some union fittings that connect two bare lines at HomeDepot and made the cuts and bent a little and then joined the pieces I wanted to use with the fittings. NAPA also sells the same size metal line with the end fittings on them. I bought 2 12" pieces. You can bend them with a pipe bender and make it look good.
