Trans cooler lines....

I am adding a trans cooler.

I wanted to add it in series with the stock cooler, but I do not know which line is the return line.

If anybody knows, is the return line the top or the bottom?

After the fluid is drained, it would be a good idea to blow some air through the stock cooler, to make sure its not clogged.

Yep. I would have had major problems, if we wouldn't have checked them before putting the new trans in. I'm not using the stock cooler anymore. The 28,000 GVW cooler and pan (3 extra qts) should do the job.

This isn't really related to your situation, but for anyone that comes across this thread that may be swapping a trans. If you are adding that cooler and deep pan, get about 2 cases of fluid. I had 16 qts, and ran out. :D

I had heard someone putting the trans temp sensor for an aftermarket gauge right in the stock drain location on the trans.

Is that possible?
