i've been looking for parts to start a trans build on the side. found a case with part number 8657934 on the box and was wondering if anybody knows if it'll work.
anybody (blake, waller), have gm part numbers for gm 700r4's that will work?
You can use anything from late 1987 to 1993. Just make sure it's out of a 4x4 so you don't have to swap the shaft too. They'll all work. Everything was pretty much streamlined after 88 so most of the valvebodies will be similar as well. Just remember the servo is different and the valvebody has a few different valves and springs and the governor (same housing and everything)is calibrated just a little different.
