I usually try to take pics with my Blackberry before I take stuff apart just for that very reason. It helps a bunch.

That wouldnt have helped, i was adding the cooler so taking pictures of the original set up wouldnt have helped. No matter i was double checking my plans. I am the type of person to go over the instructions and plans a few times before i do anywork just the way i am.

Looks nice. How did you mount the filter? Did you cut the wheel well?

Yes i cut the wheel well. This way i can change the filter often with out taking the intake, battery and battery tray out. Also i thought worst case i replace the wheel well. Cheap and easy to do. :tup:

Damn it! Why didn't I do that? :rant: I have the filter in the same spot, except I mounted it sideways. That was a good idea, I might do the same.

I would recommend it. :tup: I plan to change it once a year right when i take the car out from winter storage, Change the oil and tranny filter at the same time. I need to remember to order some more AMSOIL tranny fluid. I used all seven courts that i had, was i lucky!

Every year without a drain plug in the pan? Sounds like fun....

You can change out the filter without drainning the fluid. The filter is at a location that if it spills what ever is left in the line or filter itself it will go in a drain pan not on or in the truck. That was another reason for the cut out in the wheel well. After replacing the filter top off the fluid. If i decide to do it every year or wait every two years we will just have to see. :tup:
