Tranny time, round 2.....

Well as many of you know I just got my new tranny in about a month ago. Only took 24 miles and 3 datamaster runs to realize my T/C was junk. Doh! Oh well, rip it all apart and do it again. I tore it all apart tonight in my garage, with only hand tools, a floor jack, and 4 jackstands, (floor jack doubled as tranny jack). Start to finish in about 4 hours flat, for removal. Not to bad huh. Get my new T/C next week and I'll be ready to go back togather. There's a big "street car only" race at the local track Sept 5-7. Not 100% sure if I can make it but should be able to. We'll see.

Mark.... if your TC came apart.. might be a good idea to check the pan on your tranny and see how much shit is in there.

I had one come apart in my Corvette... what a nightmare.. I had the VB off of it once a month trying to unstick valves... went and got another VB .. .same thing a month later.. if it came apart... you might consider an actual tear down and cleaning... may save some headache down the road.
