Time for fuel pump

Raced GMC Sierra this morning (lowered, good ex. sound) defiantly modified, tire squeal at start. I would get 1 car lengths jump from start (no boost buildup) but than he will keep right behind me; not gaining – not losing. But I starting to get f*king KNOCK; had to lift off.
Time for new fuel pump and FP regulator(still stock): what is best combination? Where to buy?

Thanks

You may want to get a Racetronix "hotwire" harness for your fuel pump too. I did a little writeup in the Tech Articles section. The fuel pump draws its power through the ECM-B fuse. Often this needs to be upgraded when a Walbro is put in. I didn't want to bother with blowing fuses and trying to pull even more power though the stock wiring with all the electrical problems we have already. The Racetronix kit runs a power wire directly to the alternator, and uses the stock wire to flip a relay, letting the pump pull power from the heavy wire right from the alternator. It's supposed to increase the voltage at the pump too, which will lead to more flow. I wasn't concerned about getting more out of it, I just didn't want to put any more stress on the stock wiring...

This is correct. The Racetronix harness also comes with a lifetime warranty. Our combo price on the harness + pump is not much more than most vendors charge for the pump alone.
