TCC Switch

My truck has a conley's tcc switch that the previous owner had installed. When the switch is in the off position, a green led lights up. When the truck makes its shift into 3rd the light cuts off and stays off until I take my foot off of the gas, and then it lights up again. When the switch is in the off position, the led stays off and never comes on. Does that make sense to any of you guys?

I took the box apart and put fluke to the switch. There is continuity whether the switch is in the on or off position.

Am I looking at this the wrong way or is that switch essentially just a fancy paper clip for the aldl. If that is the case, shouldn't the continuity stop when the switch is in the off position?

Sounds like an indicator light telling you when the torque converter is locked or unlocked??

You may be seeing continuity thru the light.....are u on each side of the switch ?

bah I didn't even think about that. lemme go isolate the switch and retest
