ok, i have done a few test to get my stall...i have installed a 10.5 3000 stall fro mike lee...of course he knows our trucks so i am not yet wondering about the product......the damn thing is stalling at 2400...

Everyone says a 2800 is almost difficult to not promote wheel spin...boost is rapid...i have NO such thing and can't spin tires ot safe my life....

one question:

what can affect the stall of the converter this bad...i know power, engine, etc...this is a stock truck...a guy like mike lee can stall it close enough so what is the problem here? any help, please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

how about a clogged cat? would it affect it that much? what would been signs of tha...smell? i smell nothing sulfery!

lots and lots and lots of things can affect the stall speed.

explain your testing methods and tell us more info.

your truck could be lame thats for sure but lets figure it out some more before we decide you need a tune up or a new motor.

First test....todd auston manouver at launch...max build 4-5psi brakes hold all day long at 2400RMP's.......

Second test.....cruise on freeway at about 55-60mph, touch break not enough to break but to unlock TC...tack goes down and holds at 2400 RMP every time.

In terms of a tune up, its fine...NGK plugs, taylors, etc...good stuff...stock with basic upgrades ultimate, etc.......

exhaust, stock with mufflers removed (straight pipes)..sounds great, no odd smells, no leaks, every welded no clamped.......

so where can we go from here?
