TC constantly engaging then disengaging??

After a rebuild I also upgraded to 9/11 TC and since have had some issues. Main concern is that while driving at a cruise, with light throttle pressure at around 45MPH, the TC will kick in, then when I back of the throttle abit it will come off. It will keep doing this. Is this the TC shudder that is common on these converter?? I also wanted to know if this idea would work to solve this solution. If I install a lock switch and leave it constantly on throught the ALDL, would this cause any problems. I know you could have some drivability issues in colder weather with this but I only drive this in the summer? What do you think??

you need to put dm or a scantool on it to see if these locks and unlocks are being commanded by the ecm. or just stick a paperclip in the aldl and find out if it continues to do the same thing.

in cold climates depending on coolant temp the TC sometimes cycles depending on the chip used and the ambient/coolant temp.

Well, with ALDL jumped, TC engages as soon as 2nd hits. But the truck is a dog when I have the TC constantly jumped. It wont even down shift when in second or third gear, definitly cant leave it like that. Does the TC still multiply torque when the TCC is engaged?? I know at cruise there is no torque multiplication and thats why the ECM engages the TCC then, but when your accelerating, thats when the TC is actually multipling torque.

I just jumped the ALDL, but for the life of me I couldnt find where its shows TCC operation on datamaster???
You can change one of your "flags" in the upper right hand box. Right click and you'll see it as one of the options.

Im know I keep replying to all my own post, but with further testing I found that the problem is still there with the ALDL jumped. So that tells me that this is a flaw ihn the tranny. So I pulled the plastic shielding on the TV cable towards the drivers side and it works perfect. I didnt try it at WOT to see how the shifts were or anything, ...
1. Anything wrong with leaving it like that with concerns to less line pressure,or shift points??
2. How do I keep the cable in that position because it will go back to original position when the throttle is put to WOT??

If your describing what I think you are, its quite common with the higher stall converters.

I notice that if I take off from a stop, then start to slow down.... the RPM will start jumping up and down. Another board member mentioned this is common, and he is able to get it to stop with a blip of the throttle. This is not the same as TC shudder.

From what I remember, its something in the chip that could probably fix this problem, but its not really that big of a concern so I haven't bothered yet.
