hey guys,

i want to get my typhoon on a 2wd dyno. can i use a early 90's 4x4 transfer case out of a s-10 and swap just to get it on to the dyno. or do you guys no of a transfer case i can just swap in to get it up on the dyno. i would be putting the original transfer case back on as soon as the dyno session is over.the tranny is a 700r4 and supposedly it is supposed to be built. but i have no idea about it other than that. i purchased the truck just over a year ago and have tried to do some code59 on it but dont have the time anymore so i was hoping to get it dyno tuned. and the reason i am going to a 2wd dyno is that is the only one up here in alaska.

All you have to do is pull the front propshaft (driveshaft).

WAY easier than swapping transfer cases!!! ---

i've read about removing the front prop shaft on the forums and i am worried about doing that because i dont want to ruin anything in the transfer case like the VC.
i was just curious to see if maybe anybody has tried a swap just to get it on the dyno.
but from the looks of things especially whats been talked about in past forums on this subject i just might have to remove the front propshaft and give it a go.
anyone else want to give me there :2cents:

Ummm. Why all the work for a skewed dyno number? Take it to a dyno that the Suburu Impreza/Mitsubishi Eclipse AWD guys go to. There has to be one there in Anchorage somewhere.

Not understanding the reasoning here, not trying to bash at all.

Okay read your post again. I see you say there is no AWD dyno there. Those Suburu/Mitsu guys have to go somewhere. I'd ask around in the tuner world and see what they are doing.

Quick search on the interwebs and it appears you are correct on this. I also found info about UAA (University of Alaska Anchorage) actually having an AWD Dyno, a couple of shops that either do have or are getting AWD dynos. Those shops are Hales and Jays muffler shops.

its been done search waller transfer case and there should be a few threads on it
