Does anyone know if the stock oil pan on a typhoon can be removed without ripping the motor out? Just got done installing a motor on a local truck and the eagle rods are hitting the oil pan. The motor was built by a well known/respected gn builder/tuner. I guess he should stick with his buicks.
Thanks

you can but its a tight squeeze.. Best bet would be to try and if you cant do it, loosen the motor mounts and jack up the motor a few inches.

Damn....I guess the front diff is coming out. It has the Jeff Scott motor mounts so the motor sits in there very tightly; we spent nearly three hours getting the motor mount bolts in. What a pain. This truck has put us through so many loops. Powersteering was leaking so we had to replace that, PS compressor bracket had a broken tab, so we had to replace that. ATR afpr wasn't working and we couldn't get it running on speedpro, luckily I had a spare dequick unit and it started right up. We even had to modify the oil priming tool from Autozone to get it to fit on the slot properly. Now waterpump is leaking.
Alrighty thanks
