Stock Converter Info

So I was looking at my stock torque converter and I was surprise to see what stall it was. The code is DECF, with 'E' being the important K factor. This basically means our stock stall is 1639rpm. Before someone jumps all over that their SyTy stalls higher than 1639rpm, its because rating is at certain ft-lb of torque, I know its in the 200 ft lb range (I want to say I remember reading somewhere 220-260ft lbs.) Higher torque engines like our engines will push the stall higher. I was expecting to see C or D instead of an E.

For a budget minded build I bet we could get away with larger turbo (think PTE51/52 or 20G14cm2) with the 85-86 Corevtte' or 94-95 Blazer (probably all L35's) 'A' converter ie 'DACF'

or maybe this is common knowledge, but I can't ever remember anyone posting about it...
