So I have a new noise creeping into the ty, and am trying to track it down. It happens in any gear (including neutral) while you're moving, and increases with speed. It happens to fast to be 1:1 with the wheels, and sounds like it may change depending on gear (can't quite tell).
If you roll into the throttle slightly it goes away and then comes back, and when you back off you notice it the most.
It sounds like a bearing going bad, not a "grind" but like when a small fan is going bad and wobbling. At first I thought it was INSIDE the cab behind the console, I thought it was a fan going bad.
But it's not, you start the truck moving and zqueak-squeak there it is. when you're at speed it happens so fast it just sounds like a whirr.
It's not the brakes or the wheel bearings. I swear it sounds like something coming from the TC/Propshaft/transfer case.
Thoughts?
