slipping trans?

OK i dont know whats going on, but now when i luanch hard, the ty takes off just for a split second,lets go then grabs on again. my gues is un fourtunatly the transmision is slipping. any other guesses?
and no it doesn burn out at all when i take off. :cry:

no problem.

before you check that, go ahead and check your trans fluid. Be sure that its at the correct level, its still the bright red color, and it smells normal.

if its maroon in color or smells burnt is pretty good sign of a transmission problem

yeah, check the obvious things first like the trans fluid level.
also, are you launching with at least a half tank of gas? :wink:

Sounds like a possible OVERBOOST deal too.....

What are the exhaust mods ?

Any datalogging runs to look at ?

Any check engine lights ?

How does it run if you just run it through the gears at part throttle ?

Stock ECM ?

Chip ?

2 or 3 bar chip ?

Sorry I dont know what mods (if any) you have.
Chances are it maybe overboosting and cutting out. Once the boost drops the computer dials back in more boost and it takes off again.
