shifting problems

93' 4l60e, stopped shifting into 3-4. then we backed it up, shifted through the gears and it started going back into 3-4. Now it does it intermintantly.

Any suggestions?

The tranny gets to the top of second and will stay there.

I will check the codes tonite.
