S2000 stories

I daily drive a stock Sy. The other day I went to Sears to pick up a large cabinet for work (I am a GM technician). As you can imagine, it barely fit in the bed, but it all fairness, didn't weight too much. As ridiculous as it may have looked, little truck with huge appliance looking box in the back, I managed to get an oriental dude in his 40s with his wife in his S2000 to race me over and over. I couldn't help laughing in his face after each time I smoked him, because of my cargo. Someone's going to be researching "small back truck with red letters" on the honda forum.

So today I was about to enter my community after a long hard day at work, when I see none other than the modded S2000 that defeated both my Wife and myself previously. This guy drives well and has beaten me on video when I was driving my best friend's stock automatic '93 RX-7, as well as spanking my Wife's slow RX-8 several times since we live in the same community. Somehow I never manage to run into him when I am in one of my fast rides (RX-7 or Syclone). So today I followed him and asked him to race after explaining who I was. He refused to go from a stop which is a great decision on his part. From a 30 mph roll, he pulled 2 cars on me to my suprise, although very slowly and steadily. He was just as suprised that a "truck" kept up with him as I was that I didn't beat him. It turns out he has intake, exhaust and a 75 SHOT OF NITROUS !!! Th second time he insisted on racing from a 30 mph roll again, although he agreed to run without the bottle (no nos). I jumped before the 3rd honk (afraid the AT would downshift in time) and unfairly gained a 2 car lead which he never was able to reduce although the tried up to 100 mph. We said our goodbyes and were on our way since we spotted a police car up the street.

Not bad I guess, it was good to finally catch the guy but I need to beat him straight up to get satisfaction for all the times he beat or eluded me.

Re: S2000 stories

I had a run in with an S2000 and a Ford Turbo diesal on the way home from the grocery store one night with my g/f. The ford cut me off around a corner and lit up his tires right in front of me, so I speed up and we come to a 3 laned road and there's this S2000 in the far left lane with a loud exhaust and I see the truck get into the middle lane and start trying to race the S2000. So I casually coast over to the far right lane and get next to them both. They both take off so I do too, and the ford just drops back like 4-5 real quick which leaves the S2000 and me. We were pretty even up to about 80 then he started pulling on me. To this day I've been trying to race him from a light without a bunch of groceries in the back. I do believe he had more then an exhaust though by the way he was running. They're quick little cars though especially from a roll.

You should keep trying to get him at a light and show him what a SY can really do :2cents:

Good to hear from you, it's been a couple weeks since I don't see you around.
Next time go from a dig and tell him that he can use the nitrous. I really don't see the point of racing from a roll anyway.

Re: S2000 stories

Man the cabinet story is awsome. He prolly cept racing ya because he thought to himself is my car running ok i just lost to a truck with a giant box in the bed. :rotf: .. maybe 2marr he is putting that thing up for sale.

I think you should race that guy again and insist on racing from a stop and smashing him just to make him feal as if his car isnt as fast as apick-up.

Syclones are the best invention in the world..
