remove shifter no overdive

I had to remove the shifter assy to remove the carpet, now i have no OD any Ideas?

Could you have knock the TCC switch on the brake pedal?

hmmm very possible, there the lamp switch and the cruise switch right next to each other wheres the TCC switch at?

If you don't have OD, then you have the center console installed slightly off. The steel brackets align everything. Work it so you have PARK and everything else will work. TCC is completely independent of that center console.

I have park I assume how the hell do you verify park?

Its next to the brake lamp. You can short the AF terminal on the ALDL to check to see if the TCC is working. You will know by the time you hit 10-15 mph if it working, the engine will lug when hits 2nd gear. George is right if your OD is now located between the OD position and N you could miss it with the shift pattern.

It has a large vac tube on it? I thought that was the cruise deactivation switch?
