Rear Main caps

I have a Bowtie block, and I guess it was designed for an Oddfire crank, because this crank has a 2 piece seal, and the Bowtie rear Main cap has provision for a 2 piece seal. I will be using an Evenfire (stock) upgraded crank, which supposedly has a 1 piece seal, like we have stock, that bolts to the back of the block.

My question is - Can I use the RM cap that came w the Bowtie block, which I guess has grooves for a 2 piece seal ? Should I install a 2 piece seal along w the one piece seal bolted to the back ? The main journal size is the same on both types of cranks.

Guess it can't hurt to have 2 RM seals, except 4 a little extra drag ?

Id just use the one piece rear main seal only if it was me.. Only reason Id can come up with is that the seal is not designed to run completely "dry" and is lubricated by eng oil (doesnt need much).

IMO if you ran an "inner" seal you may starve the outter one for lubrication causing it to destroy itself.

Thats bout the only reason I can come up with right off.
