I have a rattling/squeking (can't quite place it) noise coming from the back of my truck sounds almost like its right behind me in the bed (nothing is in the bed), I'm wondering if it could be the suspension? Has anyone else had this problem with their Sy/Ty? :???: its driving me insane!

Check the 6 bed-to-frame bolts for tightness. I had the same problem and, after I tightened all of the bolts, the rattling went away. Sounds like something is loose.

I was just told by a guy I work with to also check the bushings under the cab? HTF am I gonna do that?...much less replace em'? But thank God I'm not the only one, now if I can get those voices in my head to stop!...

Ok, started to pin-point the area of the "Tapping" (Sat in the back, while the wife drove). It seems to be coming from the area of the gas filler neck, underneath the bed. When I sat in that area it stopped, moved it started again. Any ideas, anyone have this problem before?

Found the source of the noise... It the gas tank sheild, probably broke after too many speed bump scrapes! Anyways are they too hard to replace? I didn't have a lot of time to look at it and not much room with it being jacked up off the floor.

Cool, I have the same noise coming from the left area of my truck right behind the cab. Are you referring to the plastic housing that holds the fuel tank? Please provide specifics; I'd like to fix this annoying noise as well.

Thanks

I don't know if its plastic, where mine was scraped it looked like metal, I could be wrong! The piece I'm talking about has a small stud coming off of it right in the center w/nut. It somehow does wrap around the gas tank thu, I'm not sure how to get it of! I'm trying to think of a quick fix, like spraying some Tuff Stuff between the sheild and the tank, NO MORE F*CKING TAPPING! TAP, TAP, TAP, TAP driving me f*cking insane!

AND MAY I SUGGEST...Don't lower your Sy/Ty 3" do 2" (unless you go airbag)
