What's up is we are in the winter off season . Things don't start up until March for the goodguys car show in Plesanton. Tom and myself will be there. Tom with his new Mike Lee built motor in his Ty and me with my stocker Sy to show people what they look like with no money behind them.
Of course Tom's party will be in June or July. Plus new this year if poeple want to make something of it? There's the new San Jose Grand Prix on July 29th through the 31st. I'm taking Friday off from work and planing to take in the indy cars as they do 200mph around the deserted "Shark Tank" Boo! player lockout.
If there's enough interest and we can get at least 25 paid owners to buy tickets? We can get a group rate which can come with perks and a VIP area to watch the race from. I'm planning to do the gold pass which allows seating in the grandstands behind pit row. Tickets are pricy but what sports event isn't these days? Ticket would need to be paid in full in advance for at least 25 paying customers before this will happen.
The 2005 SyTy calendar is really up to you all. We need interest and we need particpation. I would like to see us get together at least once a month even if only to hang out at a burger joint or resturant somewhere?
I was at the San Jose International Car show in January and I met a Buick Grand National owner and he invited us to show up in Milpitas the first Tuesday of every month at the McCarthy Ranch In and Out burger place. Apparently some SyTy have been going in past months? He tells me, so lets get more to make it over there this year.
