Re: Propshaft question

i thought the sy t- case was a little longer? which would move the propshaft mounting flange rearward, thus making the ty propshaft too short. am i wrong?

I think your right cause the sy front shaft is telescopic it will move in and out but the ty one doesnt.

Re: Propshaft question

Well the reason why im changing it is because my stock one broke do you think maybe it bent something or does the bolts pull everything back together

There is about 2" of slip in the shaft to help get it in or out. The shafts are definately the same. The big U joint goes towards the back and the slip joint towards the front. It should pop right in there unless something else got messed up when your last one broke?

Re: Propshaft question

The propshaft should be about 26.250 inches long:

Re: Propshaft question

Have you got a 4L80e in it? If so, then the transfer case will be 3.25 inches towards the rear and a stock shaft will be too short.
