Prop shaft help

I had my truck on jackstands the other day and found out the boot was missing fron my prop shaft, I quess the previous owner was a little harder on the truck than I. The motor mounts are bad too. I will hardly if ever boost launch. My question is should I get my stock prop shaft rebuilt or replace it? Do I need a heavy duty prop shaft if I am not that hard on the truck? Also should I replace the motor mounts with stock or solid mounts? I don't want to spend a lot of money on heavy duty parts if they are not needed.

Get the motor mounts fixed and then see if you can get a good used replacement from someone on here. If you put another one on with bad mounts, you'll tear it up again. It's letting the driveline twist up and the shaft can only give so much and then it damages it.

How good will stock replacement type motor mounts hold up. I don't want to replace them more than once.

Depends on what you do with your truck. I couldnt keep stock ones in for more than two weeks. Go solid if you can. I have a tie down right now but next time my motor comes out solids are going in with it.

I will drive it sometimes, just not pound on it. I don't want to be breaking things all the time. I do want to fix it so I don't have to replace things again.

Solid mounts and an upgraded propshaft=never replace them again.

I sell the propshafts and Mike Lee sells the solid mounts. Check out TurboTime for solid mounts as well. I hate to sound like I'm pushing the Gilbert prop but everyone has been happy with them so far. Mine come with bolts and a new seal.

I have a stock propshaft that you can have. It needs the U-joints replaced but the boot is good.

Thanks for the offer Jimmy. I have decieded to buy a Gilbert shaft. I know it is probably overkill for me but it should be the last one I need. I also ordered solid mounts. I need to give you call. Got turbo boosting too!
