opinions wanted. putting a trans from a syclone into my ty. sy trans and transfercase are still connected. should i take the front yoke off the sy driveshaft and put it on the ty driveshaft and then that way i do not have to put the ty transfercase onto the sy trans.

If you have yet to install it and have the Ty xfer case laying there, its only 5 bolts to disconnect the xfer case from the trans and swap them out rather than playing the swap out game with the yokes. Careful not to rip the gasket, but if you do, bust out the silicone.

forgot to mention that the sy transfercase output shaft and sy driveshaft yoke is so much larger and therefore much stronger than the ty.

yup. had the 2 driveshafts mixed up. the bottle made me do it. ty yoke is much bigger than the sy.
