Ok need help, Please

So i spent a better part of the night tearing out the Engine/tranny out o the TY for a winter build. And when i got the tranny out this thing has been painted 3 diff colors and i dont think this is the right tranny for this truck, As in i think that it might be out of a regular Blazer, How can i tell i cant find any #s on it to run and then i got to the stall converter, and its nice and looks brand new but when i drove it compared to a friend of mines SY it just feels completely diff.

Also im not sure and i could be completely wrong, but how many bolts are suposed to hold the flex plate to the Converter, Cuz this one had 3 and i thought it was suposed to have 4. Like i said im not sure but i thought id ask to be sure.

And now for the Help Who can build a decent tranny for me, i dont need a big build up but somthing that will be strong for an ocasional race. This tranny has a warenty on it from the previous owner but after looking at the shape of this thing ive got a really bad feeling........

Three bolts makes you wonder if they are enough for the job , right ?

Id say sent your tranny to Waller to make it syty specific and forget about it.

Color really doesnt matter much... There is a series of numbers and letters on the passenger side of the trans on a pad thats just above the pan rail. Post those numbers/letters on here.

Three bolts in the TC to flex plate and thats plenty since the flex plate will break before you shear those bolts off (unless you put the wrong bolts back in there).

It depens on what you want to add. Blue cluthes are expensive but its the way to go.
There are different levels you can choose from. Is your engine stock ? and will it stay that way ? :2cents:

Re: Ok need help, Please

no it's not correct. as dave said before it should have a 1lhm(syclone) 2lhm(92 TY) or 3lhm(93 ty) begining the code sequence on the RR corner of the pan rail area. it should have also had a large decal on the back of the bellhousing but many of them have fallen off.

The Larger decal on the back of the Bell Housing is not realy there, As in its worn away, Well looks like ill be getting a corect tranny then and not this pos.
