New Injectors

Recently, my Ty (low miles 19K) develope a annoying miss. This developed early on a long trip (700 miles) but I was able to make it home. I thought bad gas so added some octane booster with no change. Cleaned the K&N and changed out the coil to a MSD but still have the problem. It seems to be worse under load as street driving does not cause the problem as much as freeway. By the way, the truck is not throwing any codes causing the check engine light to come on.
Took her to a local shop for a diagnoses and they told me it was a bad injector. They said it showed up bad electrically so that some kind of a fuel system flush would not help. I about fell off the chair when they quoted me a price of over $1300 to change out the injectors and the plugs at the same time. They wanted to charge me list price of $165 per injector. I called Mike at RPM and got a set for $240. However, the shop won't install my parts as they cannot
'guarentee' the work.
So, I ask - first, does it sound like an injector problem and if so, what all is involved with doing the work myself?
Thanks for any help.

hmm, i question the shop's knowledge.

timing, all ignition stuff cap/rotor wires, plugs.

read read read...these trucks go through ignition parts like nothing else. Bad injecter at 19 grand? possible, but i'd look else where first.

price is totally out of touch...don't deal with them and do it yourself...
