Hello, Im Tyler and Im in Provo, Utah. I am considering purchasing Typhoon #0898. I have it in my possession but have not signed papers yet.
I have an extensive history in custom cars and car audio and have always dreamed of owning a Sy / Ty. So when I saw this in a local classified, I went for it.
Here is what I know.
It was in a front end crash but has been completely restored. So it has a rebuilt / restored title. That doesn't bother me to much as long as the work was done right. I do not plan to drag race it, and it will be a Sunday driver. With occasional stoplight kills, YEA. Mostly I plan to clean it up and do some minor mods, chip, fuel pump, all the basic stuff. Show car kind of stuff more than racing, but I want the power when I need to shut someone up! Haha.
The owner wants $7500 for it.

For some reason I have a car-fax for this car from February I think this Ty has been for sale on Craigslist for at least a year. I don't know anything besides that.

I'm sure others will chime in, but based on the mileage and the fact it's been in an accident/rebuilt title, I think the price seems a little high.

Got mine in Utah too, with same salvage title. But only 63000 miles and with most all reliabilty mods done (fuel pump, afpr,and 3" cat back done). Had to fix some things in front like painting grill and bumper,but his price is high only paid 4300 for mine.:2cents:
