Hi guys and girls i'm glad i found this site.I work in a shop that custom builds pre-1960 cars and trucks.We do everything from chopping tops to building chassis.I've had various cars from turbo talons to mustangs,etc.I've been checking this site out for a while trying to get info on my latest build.I'm in the middle of building a 1960 rambler american and want to make it awd.I have the means and ability for any fab work or machine work that might be needed for this project.I'll be asking some questions of course and i've already been using the search function here.Well that's my story.........Greg

Welcome Greg. I love the sound of your project. The SyTy drivetrain has been used in a few unconventional setups. I recall a Datsun truck, old hot rod, 90's Japanese mini SUV... Good luck and keep us updated with pictures.

....like Daron said above, the SyTy driveline has been used on the Quadradeuce I and II,
Black Magic (a 30ish Chevy), and several other custom vehicle builds. Some folks even
use the AWD Astrovan as a parts source, although its becoming harder and harder
to find V6 specific parts like SyTy cladding, and cast iron Bowtie Engine components
for our Syclone/Typhoon/SoGT vehicles. A number of our website vendors offer new/oem, used,
or redesigned parts for our members (and even tracking vehicle sales, junk yard status, vin number
and salvage titles to preserve as many of these vehicles as possible).

This weekend I attended the Denver Custom Auto Show and saw alot of
cars/automotive builders from kansas, texas, wyoming, & california, as well as some
up and coming local colorado builders. Do you have any completed cars being shown nationally, or
a website/gallery of your work? Best of luck...

Thanks for the info and welcome guys.The shop i work at has had a lot of cars in the mags over the years.We get mentioned a lot on other peoples builds because we chop tops for customers all over the U.S and have had some customers from Canada.I don't have a website,most people in the early custom car "scene for lack of a better term" know my boss.I'm wanting to utilize the third members and the tcase out of a bravada,or astro van.I wouldn't cut up a cyclone/typhoon for my project.The engine isn't finalized so i'm open there.We mostly put in the standard 350/350-9" in customers cars.I'm north of Columbia MO if you're familiar with the area.I'm interested in finding dimensions or a cad drawing of the front part of a 4x4/typhoon frame.I'll need those dimensions to build the front stub of my frame.I'm guessing not a lot of us have stuck our head under the hood of a rambler but it's pretty close quarters under there.I've seen rambler americans with the s10 frame swap but the frame is very thick and you have to channel the body over it thus losing about 6" of height out of the interior....Greg
