Negative feedback

How long should a member wait before leaving negative feedback for another member?

Keep in mind the member (myself) kept in complete contact with this other member (to remain unnamed at this time). In the for sale ad it even said I would be a few days before getting a chance to ship items. Going back to school, another promotion, and moving again took its toll on my time the last two weeks.

Anyway, I had 100% feedback before this member tarnished me. I also have 100% feedback on eBay. I just feel it was unjustified. I've never had any problems. Ever.

Item were shipped prior to the negative feedback. I have tracking numbers for said person but he has pushed me to the point of not wanting to PM now.

Guy was just a little over the top in his PM's and emails. I gave the member my cell number and he wouldn't even call me.

Not that any of this really matters to anyone else but I have respect for other members here and feel that I have been thrown under the bus for no reason.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

If member still wants to call me here is my number again: 931-698.98three1

I can copy and paste our conversations and paypal transaction times, heck I can even scan a copy of the shipping.

I have traded, bought, and sold on here A LOT and never have problems.

Rant over,

Eric

Re: Negative feedback

Well Flyn Sy is a scrub for doing that. If your e-mailed/p.m.'d back and forth he should understand and if he doesn't then he should have asked for his pay-pal ( money) back and the transaction should be done. It's not a 24/7 job in buying/selling parts. More of a hobby or conveinience for the peeps on the forumn.

Re: Negative feedback

Damn. Didn't have to call him out. Someone did for me.

lol. I went to your feedback to and even pulled up all the old threads. Great minds think alike. :) Appears it was 22 days from him calling dibs/paying to posting feedback. The package now shows delivered I assume per the tracking?

If you want a neutral 3rd party to check tracking, shoot me a PM and I'll confirm/deny.

If there was communication back and forth, one would assume that it should have all been worked out. Especially if parts have now arrived, the feedback of "Ripoff Artist. Doesn't deliver parts bought and paid for." is misleading.

Re: Negative feedback

the fact I just got some parts from you sight unseen just based on your word and they were as good or better then I expected speaks to your credit. Thanks for all your efforts

Re: Negative feedback

This is why i usualy take pics of stuff then box them befor i sell on a forum... i took 4 days to ship some turbo buick parts a few years ago because i was moving... told the guy it would be a few days and he posted threads about how i was a scammer. Some people dont realize your not a buisness selling on here. Doesnt anyone remember befor paypal when you would have to get the guy to go get a money order... mail it... you would receive it and wait untill it cleared then mail the stuff out? People are too used to instant gratification

Re: Negative feedback

You're also able to respond to that transaction, submit feedback on the buyer and link it to this thread. The feedback seems unwarranted. I don't know about editing it (pretty sure it is not possible to) but I do know that if I see a blip, I see it as a blip. Your record still speaks for itself so don't fret too much. Sorry they messed up your record.

Re: Negative feedback

22 days is kind of a long time, however if there was constant communication, then there should be no problem. If he didn't want to wait, then he could have requested a refund. Definitely no reason to call someone a scammer if the parts did arrive as promised.
As others have stated, buyers think that people sell stuff on forums as a full time job.

Well sy605, It looks like you had the unlucky dealings with a totally old guy. It's hard to believe with all the communication . Just maybe the dude had a stroke or something to leave the bad feedback.

Re: Negative feedback

No complaints from me. Your a stand up guy !! Like was mentioned earlier this buy sell and trade thing is for convenience and to help each other out. It's not our living. If he had a problem he should have tried to talk to you first.

Re: Negative feedback

I've met SY605 in person, he's a good guy. If the buyer knew upfront there would be a delay, I don't see what his beef is/was.

Re: Negative feedback

Just reading through the thread briefly, is it my understanding that the package is now shown as delivered (as of 8/22)?

Considering I received email notification of the negative feedback at 12:42PM today (8/22), if said buyer had access to the tracking numbers and left negative feedback just prior to getting the package on the same day, claiming they still had not received the items or a refund, then its a complete dick move.

If the buyer in question did not have the information and was left out to dry on when the package would arrive, thats a different story.

I understand you have been busy in life, as have I, as is everyone. I too suck at shipping things out, sometimes, but if you kept the seller in the loop, then I dont understand the negative feedback.

Either way, I wouldn't worry too much about the feedback. Everything can be fixed. With any luck, the buyer will chime in or contact you when he acknowledges getting the package, which would then make his claim false and unjustified and can be removed, so keep us (me) posted.

Re: Negative feedback

Guys, here's the real skinny:

1. Yes, I have been in contact with Sy605 from 8/4 and on
2. Yes, we conversed about why it was going to take him a "few" days before he could ship because of all of his personal things in life that were taking place. Shouldn't be my problem, though.
3. Yes, he did revise his shipping schedule on a couple of occasions. Which was fine, up to a point
4. Yes, I did get several promises that he would for sure ship soon
5. No, I never received tracking numbers, although it was requested
6. Yes, I did request a refund which I will evidently will never receive
8. NO, I didn't receive anything in the mail, from FedX, or UPS today!

And finally, I kept everything private until Sy605 decided that he wasn't going to refund anything and suggested that a third party (Renz) decide how to handle this. I felt that I had to call him out because this just isn't right. I've outlined the problem to the doghouse crew before taking this dispute public. I was hoping to shame him into doing the right thing, but I can see that isn't going to be the case.

I'm truly sorry if I've ruffled the feathers of some board members, which was not my intention. I was probably wrong in taking this public, but I don't apologize for the negative feedback. Guess it's time to pick up my marbles and go home.

As others have stated, buyers think that people sell stuff on forums as a full time job.

With absolutely NO link to any of this thread..... the quote above is complete bullsh!t.

If you are selling something, you take on the responsibility that if someone makes the transaction with you, it's expected that you have your shit together and will take the appropriate action to complete the transaction in a timely manner as well (shipment, payment, exchange of information, etc).

Otherwise...

DONT POST STUFF FOR SALE!

If I was a buyer of an item, made a transaction, and the seller sat on his ass and didnt take prompt action, you can bet I would be pissed. It would be safe to say that most people when spending their money and not getting a response would be too. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that either.

I understand sometimes "life" gets in the way, emergencies happen, etc. BUT....that becomes the seller's responsibility to make the contact to inform their buyer and figure out a way to complete the transaction. You cant just leave people hanging thinking they'll be alright and not get mad.

Just food for thought.

I didn't leave him out if the loop, thats the point. I constantly stay in contact via PM and email.

Re: Negative feedback

If Im selling something it is boxed after pics and waiting to go out.... if I sold something and took three weeks to ship it to the buyer I would leave myself negative feedback. If you aint got the time to ship it dont list it. Just my opinion.

Re: Negative feedback

ok, so as it stands... no package (or refund) and no tracking numbers to buyer (even though requested).

why was this thread started? seems like the buyer is in the right to me. Sorry your perfect trader rating was tarnished, but it doesn't sound like you tried too hard to prevent it.

Delete it then. No drama is best for everyone. I will PM buyer tracking info shortly. It's the 40 Pms with the attitude that was unnecessary.
